According to the Tri-City Voice, Mombasa is a fantastic place to relax, unwind and sightsee. As a restful beach resort, it affords plenty of opportunity for visitors to enjoy a peaceful vacation on the the sand. However, as the home of the legendary man-eaters of Tsavo, there may be more exciting adventures in this Kenyan town to embark on.
The man-eaters of Tsavo have been described by Smithsonian Magazine as the world's most notorious wild lions. These vicious creatures are responsible for devouring 135 railway workers a century ago - bones, flesh, blood, skin and all. Though the lions have since been killed, visitors can still explore their habitat, known as the man-eaters camp in Tsavo National Park.
The Tri-City Voice suggests that individuals looking for adventure travel may enjoy the exciting and exotic local Mombasa fare. Unlike most bland Kenyan cuisine, the food served in this area is spicy and unique.
